Age Requirements: Minimum driver's age is 23 years old for car groups MCMR, ECMR, CDMR, CCMR and 25 years old for ICMR, SCMR, CCAR, FVMR.
Driving Requirements: Renters must have a valid driving licence, issued at least a year ago, accompanied by an International Driver's Permit, when necessary (for non-EU citizens). Driving is on the right side of the road. Drivers must also present their passport (in Roman script) and a valid credit card in own name at time of rental. Accepted credit cards are: AMEX, VISA, MASTERCARD.
Minimum Rental: One day.
Rental Duration: Rental days are calculated on a 24 - hour basis from the vehicle's pick up time, with a grace period of three (3) hours. Further delay will result in an additional charge equal to one (1) day's rental. No refunds for late pick-ups, early returns or unused days. Any rental beginning in Low Season and ending in High Season or vice versa will be charged pro rata.

Meet & Greet Service: The company offers Meet & Greet Service at airports (for off-terminal locations) and ports only if exact arriving details (flight no, ship name etc) have been provided on the reservation. A Thrifty representative, holding a sign with client's name, will meet renter at the Arrivals Hall Information Desk / Port.
Delivery / Collection Service is available for free at Thrifty's stations and airports / ports (except Rafina & Piraeus). For other destinations, a fee will apply as follows: a) within city limits and the ports of Piraeus & Rafina €15.00 , b) out of city limits €0.40 (+V.A.T.) per km. Minimum charge €15.00 (+V.A.T.). Out of office hours (21:00 - 08:00) delivery/ collection charge is €20.00. All charges are per service.
Extra equipment (child seats etc): Available upon request only. Daily charge €3.00
Additional driver's surcharge, including renter's spouse is €2.00 (+V.A.T.) per day.
Refuelling: Should the renter return the car with less fuel than delivered, will be charged with the cost of the missing fuel. No refund will be given for unused fuel.
Traffic fines: All traffic fines and subsequent administrative sanctions incurred during the rental period are under renter's responsibility.
Rentals from station to station: Vehicles must be returned to the renting station unless it is otherwise agreed. One-way rentals are free of charge, only between Athens airport and Athens downtown station. All other one-way rentals will be subject to a charge according to the distance.
Cross the border rental agreements: Vehicles may not cross Greek borders.
Ferrying the car: No insurance cover applies during the ferrying of the car.
Availability: The Company reserves the right to change type of car, in exceptional cases.
Road Maps: Available upon client's request.
Road Assistance: 24-hour road assistance (tel. 1168)
Cancellation fees: All cancellations must be made in writing via fax or e-mail at least two (2) days prior to pick up date or a one (1) day's charge will apply. A one (1) day charge will apply for non-show reservations.
Extra Charges: Payable by the renter upon vehicle's pick up. All extra charges are subject to VAT. Any change of VAT, local taxes will affect accordingly rates quoted.
Method of Payment: On confirmations of your booking a 20% deposit is taken from your credit card. The balance is taken when you pick up the car.

Rates and Terms are valid for the stations of Athens, Spata, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Chania, Corfu and Santorini.

D) INSURANCE
Third Party Liability Insurance is included in the rental rates and covers: a) Death and bodily injury damages to third parties up to €500,000.00, b) Property damages to third parties (excluding Thrifty vehicles’ damages) up to €100,000.00 c) for damages to the rented car, the customer is responsible up to the purchasing value of the car at the time of the accident less 20%.
Collision Damage Waiver Insurance (C.D.W – P.D.W.): Is included in the rental rates. The renter’s responsibility for damages to the Thrifty vehicle is limited to the amount of €450.00 (+V.A.T.) for groups MCMR, ECMR, CDMR, CCMR and €600.00+VAT for ICMR, SCMR, CCAR, FVMR. A deposit (via credit card) equalling this amount will be required at the time of rental and will be refunded provided that the vehicle is returned undamaged.
Full Damage Waiver Insurance (F.D.W. – Super P.D.W.): The renter may waive the above liability by purchasing the F.D.W. at €10.00 (+V.A.T.) per day for car groups MCMR, ECMR, CDMR, CCMR, ICMR, SCMR, CCAR and at €15.00 (+V.A.T.) per day for car group FVMR.
Theft – Fire Protection Insurance (T.P.): Is included in the rental rates.The renter’s responsibility in case of vehicle’s theft or fire is reduced to €450.00 (+V.A.T.) for groups MCMR, ECMR, CDMR, CCMR and €600,00(+VAT) for ICMR, SCMR, CCAR, FVMR. T.P. may not apply in case of proven negligence on behalf of the renter. T.P. does not cover theft or damage of any personal belongings.
Personal Accident Insurance (P.A.I.) covers the driver of the rented car against death, total permanent disability by traffic accident up to the amount of €10,000.00 and can be purchased at  €2.00 (+V.A.T.) per day.
NO insurance covers the renter from:
a) Damages to the underside of the car, windscreens, tyres and wheels, car roof and interior. Any damage caused as a result of driving the vehicle off-road, or on untarmacked roads negligently or without due care and attention. b) Any event resulting from alcohol or drug abuse c) Damages caused during the transportation of the car by ship d) Damages due to violation of any provisions of the Greek Traffic Law e) Damages due to violation of the parameters of the Rental Agreement

Rental Agreements for renting vehicles are composed in Greek and English language, where terms & conditions and emergency telephone numbers are indicated.
